Greetings All!
2019 was quite a year. I experienced a number of ups and downs.
Ups include: moving into my new home, publishing my novella ‘Aje and The Master Key’, and completing the build-out of a free WIFI network in Brooklyn.
Downs include: leaving my support system and moving to a new state, losing my job, and learning that a love I thought had come to stay was simply another short-lived affair.
I embrace it all. Each moment of joy, confusion, and disappointment are aligning me with my inner truth.
As we usher in the new year it’s only fitting that we begin to consider what we want to cultivate in 2020. What do you want to manifest in the coming year? Is it more patience, a destined love, a better job? Whatever it is, let Odu Ifa (the word of Olodumare) support you in bringing it to fruition!
I invite you to join me as I embark on “The 16 Day Challenge”!
Here’s how you participate:
Identify an Odu verse that speaks to your situation. For instance, if you struggle with a bad temper and want to better manage it in the coming year try reciting this verse from Ogbe Ogunda which states “Anger amounts to nothing for one. Patience is the father of all good character. The elder who is patient. He will be blessed with all the good things of life.” Not sure where to find a verse, check out the Reading of the Year linked here: https://docs.google.com/document
Starting Monday, December 9th you will recite the verse each morning in front of your Ifa or chosen Orisa (hand or full). Those who do not have Ifa or Orisa should hold their head with both hands and direct the verse to their Ori (personal divinity). Feel free to add other prayers as you see fit. Recite the verse in whichever language you prefer.
This will be done consistently for 16 days. Through December 24th. No excuses!
Throughout the month, be on the lookout for shifts in this area of your life. Be open to miracles. (This has worked for me in the past, it can work for you!)

For best results, the 16 Day Challenge should be done in addition to your regular prayers, readings, sacrifice, and offerings.

The twos usually make their appearance when duality is present. Where there is conflicting energy you will find the 2s. Such is the nature of life. The 2 of wands is the energy of vision. What is your vision for the future? What do you want your legacy to be? The 2 of Pentacles shows movement; a frenzy of sorts. In the midst of your daily comings and goings embrace stillness and meditation. Make time to chill so that you can hear, see, and feel the messages that are meant for you. It is in the quiet moments when spirit communicates most clearly. Allow them to come forward and communicate the truth that lies within your heart. Balance between movement & stillness is important at this time. This balance will allow you the freedom to envision your future and the steps you must take to get there.
The 4 of cups can indicate dissatisfaction with the offers coming in at this time. If you are unhappy with what’s coming into your life, make the adjustments needed to attract better. What are you willing to do to attract what you envision? Identify the areas in your life where more balance is needed. Are you ready & willing to step into your power and make shit happen? The choice is yours. It always has been.

One day Orisa Ogun was deep in the woods enjoying his favorite pastime, hunting. After some time in the bush, he headed towards a nearby stream for a drink of water. As he approached the stream he heard two men arguing. The men had both caught the same fish. One hook was in one end, the other’s hook was in the other end. The men were arguing over who the fish belonged to. Ogun encouraged the men to calm down and listened to their arguments. Both men were stubborn. Neither of them would calm down long enough to come up with a fair and diplomatic solution. “Enough!” Ogun yelled. His voice echoing through the forest. In an instant, he pulled out his cutlass (machete) and cut the fish in two. Problem solved. Each man received an equal portion of the fish they had caught.
Ogun has come to cut the fish in half. Are you are facing a stalemate? Is there someone in your life who you are not seeing eye to eye with? Are you arguing/fighting over resources? Ogun says no more. It’s time to cut the fish in two. He has come to bring a fair and balanced solution to your situation. You will move from discord to peace. Arguments will transform into mature discussions. Unhealthy relationships will be repaired. Peace offerings and offerings of love will replace anger and hatred. Camaraderie, love, and contentment are being offered at this time. Be open to peaceful resolution. Be open to love.
